Christmas cheer is welcomed here!

We have been really busy since Thanksgiving. I really try to cram as much as possible into the 4 short weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year!

We began with a bang...meeting the big guy in the red suit! The neighborhood right near ours hosts many fun activities throughout the year. Every year, they host a country Christmas and invite Santa to come! Last year, Lily didn't want to go near him and Camille wanted me in the picture. This year, I think we succeeded!

Then we decorated the house with twinkling lights...

We made gingerbread houses and watched Christmas movies...

Our annual trip to Acadian Village did not disappoint. Thousands of lights, Christmas music, funnel cakes, hot chocolate and carousel rides!

We spent last night baking cookies for Santa and drinking Grinch punch!

We've been busy making memories!

Family Pictures 2014

Boy, time is flying! We made it through Thanksgiving, and we are savoring every minute of this holiday season. We've been building gingerbread houses, watching Home Alone and Christmas Vacation on repeat, and keeping up with that silly elf!

In November, we took family pictures. Christmas cards have gone out in the mail so I'm sharing a few photos on the blog. I was so happy with them this year. The girls did great, the weather was great, and Marley (our boxer), cooperated too! I'm not normally an "include your pet in the family pictures" kinda person, but Marley will be 8 years old this month and her age is finally catching up with her. I'm not sure if she's going to make it into another family picture so I wanted to include her in these. She was my first "baby" and has been an excellent big sister to Lily & Camille. I want my girls to remember her because she's a big part of our lives on a daily basis.

I have plans for a holiday post soon! I want to share all the fun things we've been doing from Thanksgiving to now! Until then...
