Pumpkin Patch 2014

Over the weekend, we met our cousins and Granny for a trip to the Pumpkin patch!

First up-checking out the pumpkins! The sun was too bright, hence the squinted smiles.

Poor Camille! #shortpeopleproblems

Then they snacked on snowballs (after having popcorn, but who's keeping track!?). This was the best picture I could get...there's always one not looking or not smiling.

Weekend Wrap Up

I love Fall and I love October! This weekend was a reminder of why I love it so much...the weather was perfect! 70 and breezy during the day and 50's at night and NO humidity!

We headed to the GermanFest in Robert's Cove first thing Saturday morning with my mom & dad, sister & her family. My mom was born and raised in this small German-settled community. There was plenty of family, music, food and beer to enjoy.

(For the record-he never smiles for pictures)

We ended the day at Cajun Field for some UL football. We are proud alumni and season ticket holders, and we won 31-34!

Kindergarten- ready or not here we come!

I'm traveling back in time a bit...August 15, 2014...Lily's first day of Kindergarten!

At home, all dressed and ready to go!

And here she is in class!

What an emotional day for me! I was a nervous wreck (thought I was going to throw up most of the morning). I know it's so cliché, but how the heck did this come so very fast? Time truly does pass in a blink of an eye. She's so much like her momma (and that can be both good and bad). My prayer for her is that she shows the world how funny, smart and sweet she is! I hope her confidence grows every day, and she comes to know how special she really is! I love you, Lily- I hope you have a great year!
